Itenarary

Day 1
Pune /Mumbai - Colombo

You will arrive at Bandaranaike International airport and be welcomed by a representative of Vihar Travels who will transfer you to a hotel in Sigiriya. In between visit Pinnawala and Dambulla. In the afternoon relax at the hotel. Overnight stay in Sigiriya/ Dambulla.

Day 2
Sigiriya / matale/kandy

Sigiriya , also known as Lion Mountain is a rock fortress built by king Kashyapa in 5th Century AD. The remains of the royal palace along with the royal swimming pool could be seen on the summit, which is about 300metres above sea level covering about 3 hectares.. The Lion staircase: This will lead to the summit, and special feature of this is the massive Lion Paw, which is carved out of rock. The brick wall is still preserved in original form. Sigiriya is being currently excavated and restored by UNESCO under the Cultural Triangle Project and according to the sources is most likely to be declared as a wonder of the world. Proceed to Kamdy in the riute you will visit the Here you will also visit a traditional Sri Lankan spice garden where you can learn about the basis of Ayurveda natural medicine, a custom integral to Sri Lankan culture. In the evening you will see the cultural Dance Show of Kandy o/n stay. Over Night Stay at Kandy.

Day 3
Kandy / nuwara-eliya

After breakfast city tour of Kandy where you can see the Temple of tooth. Kandy Lake Boat Ride (Optional), Upper Lake, Tea factory, Ramboda Hanuman Temple, Ramboda Waterfall and then we leave for Nuwara-Eliya. Diner and overnight at Nuwara-Eliya.

Day 4
Nuwara-eliya / ella / nuwara-eliya

After breakfast we leave Seetha Amman Temple the Seetha Amman Temple is supposed to be building on the same spot where Sita, the wife ofLord Ram was held captive by the demon king Rawana as told in the Ramayana epic. Gayatree Petham and visit at Hakagala Botanical Gardens , the exotic pleasure garden where King Ravana kept the depressed Sita, insisting that she marries him. It was here where the heartwarming meeting took place between her and Hanuman, who brought her Rama’s ring with the news that Rama was looking for her. Thereafter we proceed to visit the Divurumpola Temple. Still revered by thousands, this holy haven was the place where Sita performed her Agni Pariksha (proving her chastity) to her husband Rama. In the afternoon we visit Ella. Sri Lanka’s highest village surrounded by hills perfect for walks through tea plantations to temples and waterfalls. Additionally it boasts three locations linked to the Ramayana where local legend claims Ravana was hiding Sita. First there is the Ravana Ella Cave, located at the massive Ella Falls; King Ravana is said to have lived in one of the caves above the waterfall and a nearby pool bored out of the rock by the gushing waters is where Sita is said to have bathed. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Nuwara-Eliya.

Day 5
Nuwara-eliya / kitulgala / bentota

After breakfast it is time to leave Bentota. In route visit white water rafting at Kitulgala (Optional). Evening at Bentota.

Day 6
Bentota / galle / bentota

After breakfast you will leave for Galle, a bustling provincial capital and administrative centre for the South. Once a port, Galle was Sri Lanka’s first international commerce and trade centre, .The Dutch presence is still visible in Galle, and should you want to retrace the footsteps of the Dutch rule, let our guide give you the tour of the Old Dutch fort (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Dutch Government House, the New Oriental Hotel (built in 1684), the old bell tower, and the Dutch tide-based sewage system. If you fancy a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, however, you can make your way down to Galle’s beautiful Unawatuna Bay, one of Sri Lanka’s finest beaches, where the crystal-clear sea laps the white sand, and wilting palm trees frame the picturesque coastline. In the evening Water sports activity (Optional).

Day 7
Hikkaduwa / colombo / airport

After Lunch leave for a city tour of Colombo. In the Afternoon board the flight for Mumbai. Tour Ends.
